Welcome to FOZY — Focus Better, Become Better.
FOZY is a study productivity platform designed to help students track study hours, organize their learning, participate in study rooms, review their progress, and develop better study habits.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use FOZY, how that information is used, how information is shared through our features, and the choices available to you.
By using FOZY, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read this Privacy Policy. Where consent is legally required, we will seek consent through an appropriate process.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use and the information you provide, FOZY may process the following categories of information.
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in using Google or another supported authentication method, we may receive and process account information such as:
- Email address.
- Display name, where provided.
- Profile photograph, where made available.
- Authentication identifiers required to manage your account.
Your email address is used to identify your account, provide sign-in functionality, and support account-related operations.
2.2 Profile Information
Your FOZY profile may include:
- Name.

- Phone number.
- Age.
- Class or academic level.
- Avatar and other profile preferences, where available.
Your phone number, age, and class are optional profile fields. You do not need to provide optional information unless a particular feature or applicable requirement makes it necessary.
2.3 Study Hours and Analytics
When you use FOZY's study tracking features, information such as study session durations, recorded study hours, session dates, and related progress information may be processed to provide:
- Study timers.
- Daily study-hour tracking.
- Study history and analytics.
- Study progress summaries.
- Related productivity features.
This information is used to provide your study tracking experience and display your progress.
2.4 Study Room Information
When you create or join a Study Room, FOZY may process information needed to operate the room, such as your room membership, room code, display name, avatar, study status, and study-hour information.
Depending on the room and its settings, certain information may be visible to other members of that room.
You should review the information visible to other members before joining or participating in a Study Room.
2.5 Camera Snapshots
FOZY provides an optional snapshot feature in Study Rooms.
If you grant the required camera permission and enable the feature, the application is designed to capture snapshots approximately every two minutes and make them available to other members of the same Study Room.
This feature is optional. You can decline camera permission or turn off the snapshot feature.
According to the intended operation of this feature:
- Snapshots are made available to members of the relevant Study Room.
- Older snapshots are intended to be deleted when replaced by newer snapshots.
- When you disable the feature, its associated snapshots are intended to be deleted automatically.
- Snapshots are not intended to be used by the FOZY team for personalization, training, or unrelated purposes.
The exact availability and deletion of snapshots depend on the implementation and operation of the feature. Do not enable this feature if you are uncomfortable sharing your images with other room members.
Only enable camera access when you understand how snapshots are shared. Avoid capturing sensitive documents, passwords, or other private information in the camera's view.
2.6 Location and Study Room Map
FOZY offers an optional map feature for Study Rooms.
If you enable the map feature and update your location through the application, your location may be displayed to other members of the relevant room. Depending on the feature's operation, you may also be able to see the locations shared by other members.
Location sharing is intended to be controlled through the relevant settings and device permissions.
FOZY is designed not to store your current room-map location on its own servers. Location information may nevertheless be processed temporarily by your device, browser, or the services required to display the map.
Location visibility may expose your approximate or more precise whereabouts, depending on the location data provided. Only enable this feature if you are comfortable sharing your location with other room members.
Turn off location sharing when you no longer want your location to be visible.
2.7 Habit Personalization
FOZY may provide personalized study-related prompts or features based on your study activity, preferences, and previous interactions.
This information is intended to support your personal experience within your account. It is not intended to be publicly shared or used by the FOZY team for unrelated purposes.
Personalization data may be processed or stored using the application's configured storage systems. Its precise storage location and retention depend on the implementation.
2.8 Notes Tool and Uploaded Files
FOZY provides a Notes tool that helps users process lecture-note PDFs and prepare printable pages.
The Notes tool is designed to process the selected PDF locally on your device. Under this design, the PDF file itself does not need to be uploaded to FOZY's servers.
Do not upload or process a file if you are unsure whether it contains confidential or sensitive information.
If the implementation changes in the future and files are transmitted to a server or external service, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
2.9 Technical and Security Information
Authentication providers and technical services may process information required to operate the application, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical issues.
Depending on the services configured, this may include authentication identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, and technical logs.
The exact information processed depends on the services and configuration used by FOZY.
3. How We Use Information
FOZY may use information for the following purposes:
- Creating and maintaining user accounts.
- Providing sign-in and authentication.
- Recording and displaying study hours.

- Operating Study Rooms and room membership.
- Enabling optional snapshot and map features.

FOZY does not intend to use personal information for purposes unrelated to these functions without an appropriate legal basis and, where required, additional notice or consent.
4. How Information Is Shared
4.1 Sharing Within Study Rooms
Some information is shared with other room members so that collaborative study features can work.
Depending on the feature and settings, this may include your display name, avatar, study status, study-hour information, snapshots, and location shared through the room map.
Do not assume that information shared with room members is private from those members.
4.2 Service Providers
FOZY relies on third-party technical services, including Google and Firebase services where configured, to support functions such as authentication, hosting, databases, and application operation.
These providers may process information as required to provide their services and according to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
Data may be processed in locations determined by the relevant provider and service configuration.
4.3 No Sale of Personal Information
FOZY does not intend to sell your personal information.
We do not intend to share private habit-personalization information or room-map location data for advertising or model training.
This statement does not prevent the technical processing required to operate the application or disclosures required by law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
FOZY aims to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant features, maintain account records, protect the platform, or comply with applicable obligations.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
- Study records may be retained to provide study history and analytics.
- Account information may remain associated with your account until it is deleted or otherwise removed in accordance with the applicable process.
- Snapshots are intended to be deleted when replaced or when the snapshot feature is disabled.
- Room-map location is designed not to be stored on FOZY's own servers.
- Notes PDFs processed locally are not intended to be uploaded to FOZY's servers.

Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where required by law, security requirements, or legitimate technical needs.
6. Data Security
FOZY takes reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, and loss.
However, no website, application, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should protect your account, avoid sharing sensitive information in Study Rooms, and use the available privacy settings carefully.
7. Children's Privacy
FOZY is designed for students, who may include children.
Where applicable law requires parental consent or additional safeguards before processing a child's personal information, FOZY must follow the relevant requirements.
We do not intend to use children's personal information for unrelated purposes or engage in prohibited tracking or targeted advertising.
